    I. Smart Automotive Empowerment: Shaping the Future of Mobility Experience

At CES 2025, Tianma’s automotive display business was once again a highlight, with multiple groundbreaking innovations. Among them, Tianma’s new generation smart cockpit was unveiled globally, integrating IRIS HUD, 3D instruments, and hidden smart interior displays. The main focus was on the “hidden display” aesthetic concept, combining screen applications with automotive interiors, and enhancing human-machine interaction to create “simplicity without compromise” in scene applications.

    1. IRIS HUD: Leading the New Trend of HUD

The IRIS HUD developed by Tianma uses a sophisticated optical design to project images accurately onto the lower edge of the vehicle’s windshield, covering the driver’s, central control, and passenger’s visual range. With an ultra-wide display spanning from pillar to pillar, the image quality is superb, with exceptional brightness. Whether driving fast on a scorching summer day or cruising down a quiet night road, the display appears as if floating in front of the driver’s eyes. Combined with FALD technology for high contrast, key information is crystal clear. The IRIS HUD not only eliminates traditional visibility limitations but also enhances the interaction and technological feel inside the car, elevating the driving experience.

    2. 3D Instrument Cluster: A New Era for Automotive Instrumentation

The 3D instrument cluster is the industry’s first to use LCD prism technology for 2D/3D switching. It is also the first to use 500ppi for automotive instrument displays. The instrument allows real-time adjustable 3D depth and seamless 2D/3D switching with no loss of quality. Moreover, it features self-developed light field rendering technology, offering a stable, continuous, and comfortable 3D visual experience without the need for eye-tracking. The instrument also features electric lift control, allowing the screen to automatically lower and “hide” within the car interior when not needed.

    3. Smart Interior: Redefining Hidden Displays

The combination of smart center console/assistant displays and armrest displays uses Tianma’s InvisiVue hidden display technology. When not in use, only the decorative texture of the interior is visible. Upon activation, the operational content appears above the decoration layer. This series of displays boasts diverse decorative textures and seamless effects, further enhanced by QD Mini-LED technology for superior optical performance. The environmentally friendly concept, high-transparency decorative layer, and excellent integration make the display both a screen and a piece of craftsmanship, providing consumers with a completely new visual experience.

In addition, Tianma collaborated with Corning to showcase their latest automotive display innovation—a pair of 13-inch multi-curvature integrated black OLED displays and a 13-inch sliding OLED display. These products offer an extraordinary visual experience and a feast for the cabin’s aesthetic.

    1. Sliding OLED Display: Saving Space for Future Automotive Interiors

The 13-inch sliding OLED display, developed jointly by Tianma and Corning, features a 4.5mm external bending radius and a sliding distance greater than 70mm. Using Corning’s latest UTG glass, the display maintains its flatness even with long-term sliding. It incorporates Tianma’s SLOD technology and TPOT technology, resulting in a thinner, lighter, better tactile feel, and longer-lasting green, low-carbon design. Specifically designed for automotive applications, it can be used in dashboards, center consoles, and passenger entertainment systems.

    2. Multi-curvature OLED Display: Integrated Large Screen Focused on Driving Safety

The 13-inch dual-curvature integrated black OLED display, designed with a multi-curvature concept centered on the driver, offers curvature radii ranging from R800mm to R2160mm. It enables the display of both driver information and passenger entertainment while meeting the needs of streamlined automotive interior design. This display is equipped with Corning’s latest integrated black lens, with a module reflection rate of 0.5% and a Delta E of less than 0.8%. In the powered-off state, the dual screens visually appear as an integrated OLED large screen. It also uses Tianma’s SLOD technology and TPOT technology, making the display thinner, lighter, and more durable, ensuring driving safety.

On the exhibition floor, Tianma’s ACRUS, QD Mini-LED, ALS & NFC, privacy displays, and Micro-LED HUD exhibits also garnered significant attention, providing unique interactive experiences for global audiences.

II. Innovative Technologies Revolutionizing Display Visual Experience

At CES 2025, Tianma presented a range of innovative display technologies and solutions, leading the future of display.

    1. Micro-LED Display

The 27-inch seamless splicing Micro-LED display employs Tianma’s proprietary GOA backplane drive design, self-developed 3D integrated film-side wiring process, and precise, efficient full-laser mass transfer technology. This display not only allows for unlimited splicing in both horizontal and vertical directions but also achieves exceptional improvements in image quality. With a pixel pitch of P0.6mm (up to 0.4mm), a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, ultra-low reflection rate SCE<1.5%, and peak brightness of over 1500 nits, its performance metrics lead the industry.

    2. OLED Display

In the OLED display field, Tianma showcased several foldable display technologies, such as inward folding, outward folding, G-shape triple folding, and sliding roll-up, leading the trend of diverse form factors to meet personalized needs. Tianma also highlighted the 6.97-inch handheld device, which is ultra-light and portable, with high contrast, wide color gamut, fast response, and low power consumption, offering users a richer, more vivid visual experience and smoother gaming operation.

    3. Oxide Display

In the IT display sector, Tianma presented a range of products, including the 16-inch 360Hz high-refresh-rate oxide display, which offers high refresh rates, fast GTG response, wide color gamut, and high resolution, bringing users an immersive gaming experience.

    4. Light Field 3D HUD

The 4.1-inch light field 3D HUD is the industry’s first 3D HUD display to use light field rendering technology. By combining an advanced 3D image generation unit (PGU) with a 2D AR HUD platform, it provides users with realistic 3D scenes and natural depth perception. Compared to traditional 2D images, the 3D HUD offers a more intuitive and immersive AR experience, significantly enhancing driver awareness and safety.

Tianma also showcased a range of professional display solutions—integrated touch solutions, Mini-LED dimming technology, high-reliability solutions, and more, meeting the diverse customization needs of customers.

    3. Green Technology for Protection: A New Era of Green and Healthy Display Applications

At CES, Tianma demonstrated a range of green health display technology solutions that embody the development philosophy of “technological innovation + green low-carbon.” These innovations are designed to comprehensively protect users’ visual health.

Tianma has launched two eyecare display solutions: the 10.1-inch Eyefun 1.0 and the 12.45-inch EyeFun 2.0 low-reflection health displays. The EyeFun 2.0 features a 3K 144Hz carrier, incorporating Tianma’s advanced concepts and technological achievements in the health display sector. By optimizing anti-glare performance, improving backlight angles, and adjusting brightness levels, these technologies ensure that the image remains clear and soft across various use scenarios, reducing strain on the eyes.

Moreover, the display integrates super-low reflection characteristics (with total reflection under 1.2%) combined with ambient light Gamma technology. This combination ensures consistent contrast and color purity under varying lighting conditions, while presenting fine details in low grayscale, making images more delicate and lifelike. These features provide consumers with a green, healthy eyecare experience, suitable for applications like education tablets, gaming laptops, and media devices.

Tianma also showcased its μ-Fluidink micro-ink flow reflection display technology, which includes smooth video reflective displays and color reflective displays. These products integrate self-developed materials, device structures, algorithms, and driver technologies, as well as LCD-compatible mass production processes. These innovations deliver superior image quality, reflectivity, and contrast, and support full-color and smooth video playback. They provide users with a more comfortable, healthy, high-quality viewing experience. Since these displays are based on reflection display technology, they reduce visual fatigue even during long-term use, making them suitable for e-readers and other long-duration reading scenarios.

In addition, Tianma unveiled a color bistable LCD display solution, which uses advanced reflective screen design, enabling users to read effortlessly under intense sunlight. The screen also features flicker-free, low-power, and full-view angle display characteristics, ensuring a comfortable and healthy viewing experience. This technology is perfect for applications like e-readers and advertising boards.

Beyond breakthroughs in reflective display technologies, Tianma continues to refine high-frequency PWM dimming, DC-like dimming, low-blue light displays, and natural light-like displays, leading the way for a new future in green, healthy display technologies.

    IV. Conclusion

As a highlight of the tech world, CES is always full of creative innovations that paint an imaginative picture of future living. Driven by technological innovation and focused on user needs, Tianma will continue its commitment to innovation in the display field. The company aims to continuously upgrade display technology, injecting new vitality into the global display industry and creating a better visual experience for global consumers.
