Project Launch and Ceremony
On September 14, TCL’s Pan-intelligent Screen BU Manufacturing Center announced the launch of the Phase III Mini LED project. The production ceremony occurred in the COB workshop on the second floor of Building F at the LCD Industrial Park.
Largest Manufacturing Center at TCL
The Pan-intelligent Screen BU Manufacturing Center is the largest production facility under TCL Industrial, with a workforce of nearly 10,000 employees. It specializes in the design and manufacturing of TVs, smart screen products, and related accessories.
Focus on High-End Mini LED Manufacturing
As part of TCL’s strategy to expand into the high-end market, the Pan-intelligent Screen BU has continuously enhanced its manufacturing capabilities for Mini LED panels. After three months of preparation, the Phase III Mini LED project officially began production.
Details of Phase III Mini LED Production
The new workshop houses eight fully automated high-speed Mini LED production lines, equipped with 280 machines capable of processing LED chips as small as 8080μm. The facility can produce light panels as large as 1200460mm and supports Mini LED backlight modules for displays ranging from 21 to 120 inches, with an annual production capacity of 1.71 billion Mini LED units.

History of Mini LED Production at TCL
The Pan-intelligent Screen BU launched its Phase I Mini LED production project on February 25, 2023, marking the first step in building Mini LED manufacturing capabilities. By February 2024, with the growing demand for Mini LED technology, the BU initiated its Phase II project.
Milestones and Achievements
The project team successfully began mass production of the 65T7K model on the newly constructed production lines, while ramping up production for the 85T7K model. The first batch of 4,000 units was delivered with a zero defect rate.
Phase III and Future Expansion
In response to increasing market demand and production pressure, and to support the Mini LED + large-screen strategy, the Phase III project was urgently launched in May 2024. By September 3, six production lines were successfully powered on for trial production.
The General Manager of the Pan-intelligent Screen BU Manufacturing Center highlighted that the Phase III Mini LED project was completed 22 days ahead of schedule. This early completion eased pressure on light panel supply for the Double Eleven shopping event and strongly supported the development of key new products for 2025.
