Overview of Skyworth’s COB Production Milestone
Skyworth’s Wuhan COB factory line has successfully achieved full mass production. Additionally, the P 0.9 COB and P 1.25 COB models have already been delivered.
Investment and Infrastructure Development

According to previous reports, the Skyworth Wuhan Mini LED Display Technology Industrial Park project has a total investment of $4.8 million. Covering approximately 327 acres, it will feature five modern intelligent factories, a research and development center, and related supporting facilities. Once completed, it will primarily focus on the research, manufacturing, and sales of Mini LED backlight modules and Mini LED display terminals. The facility is expected to establish an intelligent manufacturing base with an annual production capacity of over 2.4 million Mini LED display terminals and will serve as the national headquarters for Skyworth’s Mini LED packaging and backlight modules.
Project Timeline
The Skyworth Wuhan Mini LED Display Technology Industrial Park project was signed in 2021, with the following key milestones:
- May 2021: Announcement of the Skyworth Mini LED Display Technology Industrial Park in Wuhan.
- September 2021: Construction begins.
- April 2022: Completion of the underground construction and pile foundation for the main building.
- April 2023: Overall completion of the Skyworth Wuhan Mini LED Display Technology Industrial Park project.
- September 2023: Project goes into full production.
- February 2024: Six production lines are fully operational, with 500,000 units shipped from January to June, three-quarters of which are for export.
- October 2024: Launch of the COB Mini LED backlight production line.
- October 31, 2024: Full mass production achieved in the COB factory line, with products already delivered.
Innovative Product Launch
In addition, recently, Skyworth launched the Skyworth Starry Screen LED-AI Super TV. This product not only functions as an all-in-one device but also positions itself as a super TV. It utilizes Skyworth’s self-developed SCOB black domain screen, achieving high brightness and consistent black levels, with 8.29 million pixels of precise control and a light purity error of ≤ 5nm. The TV features various capabilities, including a customizable desktop, AI smart interaction, AI picture quality engine, Heavenly Sound audio system, super projection, and AI far-field voice control.
