With the rapid advancement of technology, display technologies like OLED, QLED, Mini LED, and Micro LED have emerged as new drivers of the industry’s continued growth. On October 4, 2023, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, awarded to three scientists for their contributions to the “discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.” This milestone event significantly raised the global profile of quantum dot technology, ushering in unprecedented opportunities for quantum dot display technology.
Currently, quantum dot display technology is widely used in high-end TVs, monitors, and other fields, with the market size continuing to expand. Dr. Li Xiongping, Deputy General Manager and Chief Specialist of the R&D Center at Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd., has confirmed his participation! They will share cutting-edge academic achievements, industry trends, and their unique insights and experiences in quantum dot display technology.
Instructor Profile
Dr. Li Xiongping is the Deputy General Manager and Chief Specialist of the R&D Center at Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd. He is also the Chair of the Automotive Display Technology Committee at the Beijing Chapter of the Society for Information Display (SID). Dr. Li focuses on developing new display technologies, including automotive-grade ARIES, Mini LED, BaldrSys, HeimdallSys, smart cockpit technology, and reliability enhancement capabilities. Notably, his work on automotive quantum dot Mini LED technology has filled the gap in the domestic application of quantum dot display technology for vehicles. He has planned, led, and directed the development and commercialization of several new display technologies for automotive and industrial applications, enhancing Tianma Group’s technological competitiveness in these fields. In 2022, Tianma’s market share for automotive TFT displays and instrument panel displays ranked first globally, and its industrial control displays maintained a leading position across multiple sectors worldwide.
