At CES 2023, global tech giants such as Samsung, AUO, and TCL China Star Optoelectronics (TCL CSOT) showcased their latest flagship products and applications for Mini/Micro-LED. Beyond continued applications in TVs and monitors, Mini/Micro-LED technology has seen broader use in laptops, automotive displays, and AR microdisplays, positioning it as the next-generation display technology that holds significant potential for leading innovation during the industry’s anticipated recovery.
To promote closer exchange and cooperation among companies within the display industry ecosystem, to support faster and better development in the new market environment, and to help talent advance to higher levels, the Shenzhen Flat Panel Display Industry Association will host a Mini/Micro-LED display technology training session on April 20, 2023, at the Howie Technology Building in Shenzhen. SDIA 2023 will feature special guest speakers Qin Feng, General Manager of the R&D Center and Non-Display Business Division, and Director of the Micro-LED Institute at Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd., and Zhou Mingzhong, Deputy General Manager of the Product R&D Center at TCL China Star Optoelectronics, who will share insights into the industrial applications of Mini/Micro-LED.

1 Qin Feng
Senior Engineer, Member of the Technical Committee, SID Beijing Chapter. Currently serves as General Manager of the R&D Center and Non-Display Business Division and Director of the Micro-LED Institute at Tianma Microelectronics Co., Ltd., overseeing display and smart sensor technology development and product design. He has led multiple national research projects, holds over 300 domestic and international patents, and has published several papers.

2 Zhou Mingzhong
Deputy General Manager of the Product R&D Center, TCL China Star Optoelectronics, and a member of the Display Electronics Technical Committee, SID Beijing Chapter. Obtained a Master’s degree in video encoding/decoding chip design from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 2002-2004. After graduation, he joined AUO Taiwan, working on the integration development of large, medium, and small-sized LCD/AMOLED systems and chips and on integrated touch screen design and development. Later, he joined SiPix/E Ink Holdings, developing electrophoretic e-paper display driver timing and related applications. He currently specializes in large-size display product development at TCL CSOT, leading a team that develops technologies related to LCD/AMOLED/LED display systems, including chip design, image enhancement algorithms, and display systems for TV, commercial, and IT applications. He has published several papers in international journals.
