On February 10th, Samsung unveiled its RGB Micro LED TV prototype at CES 2025, as reported by CES’s official website and South Korean media outlet TheElec. Unlike Samsung’s previously launched self-emitting Micro LED TVs, this new RGB Micro LED TV follows a micro RGB three-color LED backlighting technology route.
Samsung announced that its RGB Micro LED TV is the first in the consumer display market to achieve full-color local dimming, boasting the thinnest design to date. Moreover, with the introduction of three-color micro backlighting, the TV offers the clearest, richest, and most vivid colors in the history of LED technology, while reducing power consumption by an additional 20%.
It is reported that Samsung plans to launch three different sizes of RGB Micro LED TVs later this year, including 75-inch 4K, 85-inch 4K, and 98-inch 8K models. These new TVs are positioned above the existing Neo QLED series based on Mini LED panels.
