Milestones in Quantum Dot Technology
Since the debut of the industry’s first 4K Quantum Dot Micro-LED direct display screen at the Beijing Film Museum in April last year, Saphlux has made significant strides with the launch of its MG-QD series COB products this April. The company is firmly advancing toward its goal of achieving “ultimate display technology.”
Rapid Market Acceptance
Saphlux recently reported that within months of hitting the market, its quantum dot screens quickly gained recognition, with nearly 1,000 square meters of product deployed. Recently, Saphlux achieved breakthroughs in quantum dot technology, ensuring product stability for extended use in more demanding environmental scenarios.

Why Quantum Dot COB Screens are Gaining Popularity
What factors have led quantum dot COB screens to capture the hearts of various application markets in such a short time? Moreover, what positive impacts will Saphlux’s latest breakthroughs have on the LED display market?
Enhanced Color Accuracy by Eight Times
Compared to traditional COB solutions, quantum dot COB screens elevate red light color points to the BT-2020 standard while addressing the issues of insufficient red light and blue-green bias at wide viewing angles in conventional screens.
In the following video demonstration, Saphlux measures and compares the color points of traditional COB screens with quantum dot COB screens at different angles:
The traditional screen exhibits significant color variations when changing angles. Observed from a narrow angle (front view) to a wide angle (side view), the traditional COB screen transitions from white balance to a bluish-green tint.
Conversely, the quantum dot COB screen displays a more uniform and soft white image without noticeable color bias, with data indicating that the color temperature shift of the traditional COB screen is eight times higher than that of the quantum dot COB screen at wide angles.

Over 1,000 Square Meters Deployed
Saphlux reports that its quantum dot direct display products have successfully penetrated multiple fields and application scenarios, including high-end home displays, commercial advertising screens, CAVE immersive displays, professional monitoring screens, all-in-one conference machines, and virtual reality devices, with a total delivery area exceeding 1,000 square meters.
As the products are delivered, the quantum dot COB direct display screens have received high praise from end-users for their color accuracy, excellent color consistency, and eco-friendliness. Numerous deployed cases validate Saphlux’s expectations for the application scenarios of quantum dot COB large-screen products.
Currently, the first 4K quantum dot Micro-LED direct display screen released to the market has been in use for 18 months. Actual measurements show that its white light brightness has only changed by 1.3% since delivery, and the white light color coordinates (x: 0.275, y: 0.300) have shown no deviation from their original values, confirming the reliability and longevity of the quantum dot direct display screen.
Technological Upgrades
Recently, Saphlux has further upgraded its quantum dot in-situ packaging technology, achieving excellent performance where quantum dot chips stored at 60°C and 90% humidity show no degradation.
This breakthrough ensures product stability for extended use in more challenging environments, enhancing the user experience.
Saphlux’s Advancements in Mini/Micro-LED Technology
Saphlux’s quantum dot Mini/Micro-LED technology not only enhances color performance in traditional COB applications but also supports the exploration of new COB applications such as CAVE displays and virtual studios, thanks to its all-angle color stability.
Given this, Saphlux plans to continue delivering quantum dot COB products to the market, leading the way for COB direct displays into the 2.0 era.
