Covering 253 acres and with a total building area of 130,000 square meters, the company specializes in LED epitaxial wafers, LED chips, and related products.
LED Industry Base Expansion
The company’s LED industry base has a total investment of 3.177 billion RMB, split across two phases. Phase I, with an investment of 1 billion RMB, has a production capacity of 930 epitaxial wafers and 100,000 chips per month. Phase II, with 2.177 billion RMB in investment, aims to scale production to 1 million epitaxial wafers and 680,000 chips monthly.
Technological Upgrades and Capacity Expansion
In 2022, PRIMA OPTOELECTRONICS implemented a technological upgrade, optimizing its production layout and adding critical equipment, increasing chip production capacity by 320,000 pieces per month.
Strategic Joint Venture in LED Backlight Industry
In a strategic move, PRIMA OPTOELECTRONICS also formed a joint venture with Huaying Technology, a major player in the LCD panel and module sector, to establish a Mini/Micro LED backlight industry chain. The venture will focus on high-value products such as MiniLED, Micro LED, and gold-tin high-power solutions. This new venture will cover the production, manufacturing, and sales of LED substrates, epitaxial wafers, LED chips, and related equipment.
