Recently, media outlets reported that startup company Even Realities has launched a lightweight and fashionable AR glasses model, the G1, with shipments expected to begin in August. The presale price starts at $599.
Key Features of the G1 AR Glasses
The most distinctive feature of the G1 is its design, which closely resembles regular glasses, making them both ultra-thin and lightweight, ideal for everyday wear. The G1 is available in three frame colors: gray, green, and brown. Additionally, users can choose between prescription and non-prescription lenses, with clip-on sunglasses lenses also available, allowing the G1 to transform into sunglasses for both indoor and outdoor use.
To achieve its sleek and lightweight design, the G1 integrates the battery, antenna, touch sensor, microdisplay, and other components seamlessly into the temples of the glasses.

Optical Performance of G1 AR Glasses
The G1 utilizes a single green Micro LED display paired with waveguide lenses, delivering a resolution of 640×200, a 20° field of view, maximum brightness of 1000 nits, and a refresh rate of 20Hz. This setup allows for the projection of sharp images and text at an approximate distance of 2 meters from the user’s eyes.
Moreover, the G1 offers a custom display solution for prescription lenses. Using a special eco-friendly adhesive, prescription lenses are seamlessly attached to the waveguide display lenses, eliminating ghosting and rainbow effects while ensuring 98% light transmission.
Functional Capabilities of G1 AR Glasses
The G1 AR glasses come with various features such as note-taking, translation, navigation, teleprompter functionality, notifications, and AI-powered applications. For AI tasks, the G1 connects to third-party large language models, enabling it to handle simple Q&A tasks.

Additionally, reports indicate that Even Realities is planning to release another product, the G1 B, which is currently listed as “coming soon” on its official website.
