Recently, Leyard was awarded the titles of “Hidden Champions of Beijing” and “Best Practices for Sustainable Development in Chinese Listed Companies”, further solidifying its industry standing and showcasing its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Hidden Champions of Beijing: Demonstrating Industry Leadership
In a recent announcement, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology revealed the first batch of companies that passed the re-evaluation process for the Hidden Champions title. Leyard, with its outstanding technological strength and market performance, successfully passed the review and continues to hold the honor of being a Hidden Champion.

In 2021, Leyard was named as one of Beijing’s first Hidden Champions, with a validity period of three years. The re-evaluation placed high expectations on the company’s leading products, market position, and technological research and development capabilities. In particular, the review required that the market share of a company’s leading product be either number one nationally or in the global top three. Passing the re-evaluation reinforces Leyard’s leadership position in the market and its core competitiveness.
The recognition of Hidden Champions is jointly initiated by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, playing an essential role in promoting high-quality economic development in Beijing and helping build a globally influential technology innovation center.
Hidden champions—achievements that are anything but “hidden.” Since being named as one of the first Hidden Champions in 2021, Leyard has continuously developed and achieved significant results in the display field.

- In 2022, Leyard wowed the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Qatar World Cup with its giant displays, providing 20,000㎡ LED screens for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and 1,500㎡ LED screens for the Qatar World Cup. The company also globally launched its next-generation Micro LED display technology.
- In 2023, Leyard unveiled the world’s first 4K 162-inch QLED direct-view large screen, marking the first application of Nobel-winning quantum dot technology in Micro LED direct-view large screens over 100 inches.
- In 2024, Leyard launched the first phase of its fully self-developed high-end MIP production line (Micro LED packaging technology) at the Wuxi Lijin factory, driving the continuous high-quality development of the industry.
Best Practices for Sustainable Development in Chinese Listed Companies: Demonstrating Social Responsibility
Recently, the China Association of Listed Companies (CALC) announced its 2024 Best Practices for Sustainable Development of Listed Companies. After being selected as one of the “Excellent ESG Practices” for two consecutive years, Leyard became the only listed company in the industry to be named a “Best Practice Case” for its significant contribution to “Rural Revitalization and Social Contribution.” This recognition highlights Leyard’s continuous improvement in sustainable development and its deep commitment to social responsibility.

The award, initiated in 2021, aims to guide listed companies to actively fulfill their corporate mission and social responsibility by setting benchmarks and sharing best practices, enhancing their sustainable development value and capabilities. This year, CALC received 596 case submissions, nearly 40% more than in 2023. After three rounds of expert reviews and integrity checks, 135 cases were selected as Best Practice Cases, with 432 recognized as Excellent Practice Cases. These cases were compiled into the 2024 Best Practices for Sustainable Development in Chinese Listed Companies.
As a global leader in visual technology, Leyard has always closely followed the government’s guidance, focusing on the Rural Revitalization Strategy. By combining technology and cultural tourism, the company has helped stimulate the endogenous power of rural areas, modernizing governance capabilities and improving living standards. This is aligned with Leyard’s commitment to fulfilling the increasing needs of the people and driving comprehensive rural revitalization.

In recent years, Leyard has actively expanded the technology manufacturing industry in Hunan Province, supporting the development of local cultural tourism and the metaverse industry. These innovative measures not only showcase Leyard’s strong capabilities as a leader in visual technology but also highlight its firm belief and responsibility in supporting rural revitalization through the synergy of technology and cultural tourism.
Since its founding, Leyard has been dedicated to “leading technology” and promoting the balanced development of educational resources. In 1995, the company established the Leyard Hope School in Nanmu Ping Township, Zhijiang County, Hunan Province, and set up the Leyard Scholarship to reward excellent teachers and students and assist those in need. For the past 29 years, these initiatives have never been interrupted.
Moreover, Leyard has consistently supported the digital transformation of education in rural schools, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of rural education.
Common prosperity has long been a dream and pursuit of the Chinese people. As an important participant in public welfare and charity, companies are entrusted with more social responsibilities. In January 2024, the Leyard Public Welfare Foundation, co-founded by Chairman Li Jun, was officially established. The foundation will primarily focus on supporting families in need, assisting disadvantaged students in their education, improving infrastructure in underprivileged schools, providing medical assistance to disadvantaged patients, and funding other public welfare projects.
Note: While leading in technology and product innovation, Leyard has also won several industry accolades, including the National Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprise Review, National Manufacturing Single Champion Review, China Brand Value Top 500, First Prize in Guangdong Province’s Technological Progress, Display Application Innovation Gold Award, and 5A Certification for Innovation Capabilities of High-tech Enterprises, among many other prestigious awards.
Looking ahead, as a global leader in visual technology, Leyard will continue to adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy, promoting the continuous innovation and application of display technologies, and contributing to the economic and social development of Beijing and the world.
