Domestic and International Market Overview
On July 18, Leyard conducted a survey with several organizations, discussing market performance and planning for both domestic and international sectors, as well as topics such as Micro LED and conference all-in-one machines. Leyard indicated that its smart display segment operates in two market dimensions: domestic and international. The domestic market environment has been relatively stable this year, which is reflected in the order levels. Since April, Leyard has implemented direct channel integration, with direct sales channels remaining largely consistent with the same period last year.
In the overseas market, Leyard categorizes its operations into the North American and European markets and the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America regions. Since acquiring Planar in 2015, the company has been promoting its high-end products in the North American market. Apart from external unforeseen factors, development in these regions has been stable. Towards the end of last year, demand in both high-end and mid-range markets began to rise, prompting the introduction of the Leyard brand this year to expand into the mid-range and lower markets, aiming for comprehensive market coverage.
In the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America regions, Leyard has invested substantial resources since 2021, when small-pitch TV cost-effectiveness reached its peak. The company has focused on expanding its presence in this market by targeting both high-end and low-end clients while also tapping into larger customer resources. Demand in these regions has been robust in recent years, with order growth meeting expectations.
Progress on Micro LED Technology
Leyard reported that its self-produced COB technology has seen steady sales growth since its launch. In the high-end MIP segment, the company plans to introduce Micro products with substrate-free chips below 50μm in the second half of this year, extending the pixel pitch down to 0.3mm, which will further reduce costs.
Conference All-in-One Machines
Leyard offers two types of conference all-in-one machines: standardized sizes such as 126 inches, 135 inches, and 216 inches, as well as customized solutions based on client needs. Compared to other conference products, Leyard’s LED conference all-in-one machines are more flexible in size, with significant price advantages for models over 100 inches. They also feature higher brightness and do not require specific environmental lighting conditions. Currently, Leyard’s conference all-in-one machines are sold both domestically and internationally, with a higher acceptance rate overseas, largely due to Planar’s focus on high-end clients. As costs continue to decrease, the application of LED products in conference room markets is expected to expand further.
