Innolux‘s CarUX division has been deeply involved in the development of smart automotive technologies for many years, with Tier 1 supplier-level R&D and mass production capabilities.
At the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) in Las Vegas, from January 7 to 9, CarUX will introduce its innovative product design concept, “Harmonious User Experience (HUE).” The company will showcase several integrated cockpit imaging solutions, including the application of next-generation OLED display technology.
Revolutionary Micro LED Cockpit Imaging Solution: Windshield Reflective Solution (WRS)
One of the highlights of CarUX’s exhibition will be the Windshield Reflective Solution (WRS), featuring a 9.6-inch Micro LED AR reflective display and a 48-inch panoramic reflective display. These solutions use high-brightness, high-resolution, and energy-efficient Micro LED display modules. They combine deep-focus, 3D imagery with proprietary algorithms and interface design, allowing information to be projected directly onto the car’s windshield. The solution merges important driving information with the external environment, enabling drivers to view the road ahead while still receiving essential information—improving driving safety. Technically, compared to traditional head-up displays, WRS drastically reduces the size of the device, freeing up space inside the vehicle.
Additional Innovations from CarUX
In addition to WRS, CarUX will present over 10 more Harmonious User Experience technologies and automotive components, including hidden displays, cockpit intelligent displays designed to distribute computing power and reduce image transmission bandwidth. The company will also introduce motion-based solutions, embedded back-camera photography, and the next-generation pressure feedback technology.
Moreover, CarUX has partnered with Japan Display Inc. (JDI) to co-develop a 32-inch OLED integrated in-car display. This display, using the new eLEAP OLED technology, offers a 100% increase in brightness and a threefold increase in lifespan compared to existing OLED displays. The eLEAP technology’s efficient manufacturing process also helps reduce carbon emissions by half, contributing to green technology initiatives.
