On May 28, BOE and HC Semitek successfully held a ceremony for the installation of equipment at their MicroLED wafer manufacturing and packaging test facility in Zhuhai’s Jinwan District. The event marks a significant milestone towards the project’s operational launch and full-scale production.
The ceremony was attended by Li Junxia, Deputy Director of Zhuhai Investment Promotion Agency, Ao Wei, Deputy District Head of Jinwan, as well as other district officials and leaders from various departments. Also present were Zhang Zhaohong, Chairman of BOE and HC Semitek, members of the company’s executive committee, Ye Qingxian, General Manager of BOE and HC Semitek (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., along with company representatives, equipment manufacturers, and construction partners who all came together to witness this exciting moment.
Ye Qingxian, General Manager of BOE and HC Semitek (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., presided over the ceremony. He emphasized that this momentous occasion, marking the progress of the MicroLED wafer manufacturing and packaging test facility in Zhuhai, was made possible through the strong support of Zhuhai City, Jinwan District, Huafa Group, and numerous partners. Ye expressed the project team’s determination to continue pushing forward, aiming for early operational launch and mass production.
Ao Wei, Deputy District Head of Jinwan, extended his congratulations on the equipment installation. He remarked that tech-driven industrial projects form the foundation of sustainable economic growth. In recent years, Zhuhai has accelerated its development of high-tech industries, attracting a growing number of leading and pioneering projects to its industrial parks.
