Through collaborations with Ennostar and PlayNitride, AUO is building a comprehensive Micro LED ecosystem by integrating upstream and downstream supply chains. This strategic alliance aims to leverage critical raw materials and advanced processing techniques to enhance in-house production, from Chip on Carrier (COC) to complete Micro LED modules.
World’s Largest Glasses-Free 3D Micro LED Display
For the first time, AUO will unveil the world’s largest 30-inch glasses-free 3D Micro LED dual-layer display. This innovative display combines the upper layer’s high transparency, brightness, and fast response times with the lower layer’s low-reflection A.R.T. LCD technology. The result is a multi-depth image plane that can simultaneously present both 2D and 3D visuals, offering a dynamic viewing experience.
Overcoming Challenges in Large-Screen Micro LED Production
AUO has also developed the world’s largest single-piece 31-inch Micro LED display, overcoming challenges related to lower yields for larger screens. This display incorporates advanced driver technology, A.R.T. technology, and a frameless design, maximizing Micro LED’s advantages in brightness and contrast. It is highly customizable, reduces assembly time, and can adapt to various forms and installation environments.
Smart Applications of Micro LED Technology
In addition to displays, AUO has integrated Micro LED smart window screens into the smart ferry in Kaohsiung’s Asia Bay, allowing passengers to enjoy scenic views while receiving real-time navigation information. The exhibition will also feature Micro LED displays that include A.R.T. technology and touch functionality, providing anti-glare, anti-reflection, and high-diffusion effects tailored for use in both terrestrial and aerial transport environments, such as vehicle cabins and flight instruments.
Innovations in Smart Vehicle Cabins
In the realm of smart vehicle cabins, AUO’s Micro LED Display HMI solution introduces a transparent Micro LED dashboard for the front seat, providing essential information while maintaining a wide driving view. This solution also features a retractable Micro LED screen for the front passenger, integrating a camera into the display area to allow direct eye contact during video calls without compromising display quality.
Expanding Transparent Display Applications
AUO continues to push the limits of transparency with a 60-inch high-transparency Micro LED display that can be flexibly applied across multiple scenarios, such as smart commercial window displays, creating an innovative and intelligent living experience.

Commitment to Sustainability in Display Innovation
Building on its achievement of producing the world’s first display to pass the UL 3600 Circularity Standard, AUO has partnered with Acer to launch the Aspire Vero, the company’s first eco-friendly notebook. This product incorporates post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, recycled glass substrates, and recycled steel for the display’s back panel, reinforcing AUO’s sustainable approach to product innovation and its zero-waste commitment.
