On August 8, Absen successfully concluded its “True Technology, Leading the Future” Micro LED technology conference.
During the event, Absen announced key advancements and product strategies related to its MIP technology, showcasing new breakthroughs in the micro-pitch display field. Notably, Absen’s MIP display technology incorporates Micro-scale light-emitting chips, with each chip measuring 34×58μm.
Latest MIP Packaging: Featuring 34×58μm Micro-Scale Light-Emitting Chips
Absen’s MIP display technology utilizes the most advanced Micro-scale light-emitting chips, with a chip size of 34×58μm—approximately 1/10th the size of traditional COB chips. This design achieves a 99.3% black area ratio, significantly enhancing contrast. Moreover, by integrating the light-emitting chips into MIP lamp beads using advanced processing, the technology offers superior pixel light consistency, broader viewing angles, and more uniform brightness compared to traditional COB. Absen claims that the product delivers a 180° viewing angle, 99% brightness uniformity, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, ensuring optimal image quality from any angle. Additionally, the display panel is packaged with HTB technology, featuring an 8-layer nano-coating that enhances panel blackness by three times, increases peak brightness by 50%, and achieves a contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1 for improved visual performance.
APMS Power Management Technology: Enabling Energy Efficiency in Micro LED Displays
In addition to visual quality, user experience in practical applications is also crucial. Addressing this, Absen introduced the APMS power management technology, which optimizes energy efficiency in Micro LED displays, offering a comfortable and worry-free user experience. APMS power management technology comprises two core components: pixel management and AI-powered energy regulation. Pixel management employs dynamic adjustment and dual-mode modulation (PWM+PAM) to reduce energy consumption, while AI-powered energy regulation utilizes cross-border control and standby energy-saving technologies to further minimize power usage. According to Absen, APMS technology can reduce screen temperature by 15°C, enhance screen stability by over 10%, and improve user comfort by 15% in practical applications.

Absen: Building Micro LED Technology Since 2016
Currently, the LED display industry is rapidly advancing towards finer pixel pitches and more diverse application scenarios. During the live broadcast of the conference, Absen revealed that since 2016, it has been strategically preparing for Micro LED technology. The company has been making continuous efforts to overcome technical barriers across eight core areas: Micro LED chips, mass transfer & die bonding, packaging, driving technology, mechanical precision control, calibration, control systems, and testing & repair. Collaborating with partners, Absen has been deepening its exploration of Micro LED applications. In scenarios requiring finer pixel pitches and more diversified terminal display applications, MIP technology addresses challenges such as yield, uniformity, inspection, repair, and cost, positioning itself as an ideal technological path for Micro LED display production. Since 2023, Absen has focused on meeting users’ core needs for visual quality and user experience, driving forward key MIP technological innovations to overcome bottlenecks in contrast, viewing angle, color gamut, brightness, and chromaticity, ultimately creating a visually stunning and comfortable new generation of Micro LED screens.
At the conference, Absen emphasized that the future is now, with MIP technology leading the new wave of display innovation. To prepare for the large-scale market adoption of Micro LED, Absen will continue to advance its technological research, collaborating with partners to integrate resources across the industry chain, overcoming technical challenges, and promoting innovation and development in the LED display industry.
